11 October 2012 The Canadian Tourism Commission will be busy celebrating at World Travel Market this year. 2012 marks the 50th year since a Canadian tourist office opened in the UK and their award winning Canada Specialist Training Programme will also be coming of age as the CTC celebrates 21 years of running a continous agent training programme. Visitors used to find the Canadians in a cosy corner at Excel during the show will find they've moved! As all North American exhibitors move to door number 3 in the South Hall, Canadian tourism partners exhibiting under the CTC will now be found at stand number NA300. New Canadian Exibitors attending WTM for the first time this year include: Guananoque Boat Line, One Ocean Expeditions, Butchart Gardens and the Sandman hotel Group/Sutton Place Hotel company. The Canadian Tourism COmmission will be promoting the Signature Experineces Collection (TM) which helps qualified tourism businesses promote their experiences internationally. The SEC are of particular relevance to tour operators looking for new tourism experiences to meet changing consumer demands and interest. The current list of SEC is available via www.canada.travel/SEC and both the Guananoque Boat Line and Butchart Gardens are members. Icon Canadian tourism brands such as Rocky Mountaineer, Via Rail and Fairmont Hotels and Resorts will also still be represented at the show along with a total of approx. 30 Canadian partners. Travel Agents wanting to find out more about Canada should drop by the stand. Qualified Canada Specialist Agents who introduce themselves a the Canadian Tourism Commission counter will be entitled to a surprise 21th birthday giveaway.
